Please check the CJIS DOCUMENTS file and complete the AGENCY INFORMATION FORM. This form will assist us in updating the system with correct addresses, phone numbers and other contact information. This information will reflect on your ORI, and will show on HIT confirmations. If you have a P.O. Box, please complete BOTH address fields (physical address and P.O. Box). 
If your agency has a general email address (one that does not change when the administration does) please include that as well.

Upcoming TAC (Terminal Agency Coordinators) training classes at CIC

The Criminal Information Center (CIC) in Pearl, MS will be hosting TAC Certification classes on the following dates:


July 21 - 25, 2025




September 29 - October 3, 2025




TAC Training Class is an advanced level training course for those experienced in the workings of NCIC.  During the course of this training, attendees will gain in depth knowledge of managing different features in within NCIC and NLETS. THIS IS NOT A CLASS FOR BEGINNERS. If you have new NCIC users within your agency, please consider registering those users for NCIC Inquiry and NCIC Entry classes.


TAC class is completely free of charge, and there are limited benefits allowed by Standards and Training for Dispatchers attending this class. 8 hours of Continued Education Hours, and 1 Elective Credit are allowed for Certified Dispatchers. The instructor will send the other benefits as those are requested.


There will be more TAC Cert classes scheduled for 2025, so if you are not able to arrange for one of the weeks listed, you will have other chances.

OMNIXX User ID's, Password Re-Sets, Device Re-Sets, and Account Unlocks

If you need to have a new employee issued an NCIC User ID and Password, please see the New Activation Form in the Documents section of this Launchpad. You may also find the Certification Form, also listed in the Documents Section of the Launchpad, helpful for assigning a change in certification classification. For users who are no longer with your agency, please complete the Disable User Form. If you simply need a password re-set, a device or account unlocked, due to "Max Tickets", please contact one of the MJIC Operators, at 601-933-2651, and they will be happy to help you with that, 24/7/365.

New NCIC Entry Training Class
CIC in Pearl, MS will be offering a NCIC Entry Training class, free of charge, on the following dates:
 
August 26, 2025



This class will benefit Dispatchers who need a better understanding of how to enter lost or stolen: articles, items, vehicles and persons on to NCIC. Students will also learn the process of modifying, adding supplemental information, as well as Hit Confirmations and responses, locates, cancels and clears. This training will be held using the new Omnixx 7.

 
Please be aware that this class, unlike the TAC (Terminal Agency Coordinator Class) is not reimbursable in any way by Standards and Training. Students will not receive any Continued Education Hours from this class. This class is simply a "Help" class for dispatchers who need a little assistance with the NCIC.

Omnixx 5 transition to Omnixx 7
The benefits you will gain through the upgrade are:

* There is no longer a JAVA client to contend with (no longer get the random JAVA update errors)

* No client application has to be installed (greatly reducing installation time)

* The application is purely browser-based using current generation browser technology (no need to install multiple browsers)

* The look and feel are very similar to the legacy Omnixx thick client (Users can pick up on the functionality quickly)

* Meets current CJIC security standards


***FBI CJIS Audit Team will be in our state for the triennial audit in January 2023.
